PREVENTIONEverybody knows that it is easier and better to prevent tooth and gum diseases than to cure them. Proper and regular hygienic procedures at home as well as regular free of charge check-ups in our surgery will give you a chance to have any mouth condition spotted at the earliest stages.
We offer a lot of preventive treatments. We begin with an examination of your oral cavity and hygienic instructions in order to choose an individual set of preventive procedures and home preventive measures as well as a good toothbrush.
The basic hygienic treatments in the surgery are scaling and polishing.
Scaling is a painless method of removing tartar and plague by means of ultrasounds. Teeth are then polished with special polishing paste removing small stains and restoring the natural shade and shine. Afterwards fluoride is used to reduce hypersensitivity and harden the enamel.
In our surgery we offer such preventive treatments as:
CONSERVATIVE DENTISTRYConservative dentistry is a branch of dentistry dealing with treatment of dental caries beginning with a carious spot , leading to partial loss of tooth hard tissue (enamel and dentin) and finally to total dental loss causing inflammation of the tooth pulp.
Conservative dentistry can be divided with regard to the degree of progression of dental caries into treatment of ordinary caries, endodontics and treatment of caries complicated with inflammation or pulp gangrene.
Within conservative dentistry we offer modern composite fillings of renowned international firms. These new technologies provide dentists with vast opportunities to reconstruct decayed teeth and restore their primary function and appearance by choosing a matching shade.
Endodontics, which means root canal treatment, involves removal of infected tissue from the root canal, its cleaning and finally its filling with material bonding to the canal walls.
Depending on the stage of progression of the disease, treatment involves one or several visits in a surgery and is painless owing to anesthesia. After the endodontic treatment hard tissue is reconstructed with a composite filling or prosthetic crown.
AESTHETIC DENTISTRYAesthetic dentistry is one of the most fashionable branches of dentistry. Everybody wants to have a beautiful white smile. The way to achieve this, however, is not the same in all cases. We will help you find the most suitable method for you. We will improve the appearance of your teeth by changing their shade and shape.
We offer:
PEDIATRIC DENTISTRYIn our surgery we pay special attention to treatment of children and most of all to their painless introduction into the world of dentistry. We encourage parents to pay adaptation visits in our surgery during which children get to know the surgery and its equipment and even have a chance to see their teeth on a monitor, in a picture taken by a camera inserted in their mouth. We try to convince parents to pay frequent check-up visits in order to build proper habits in their children and to teach them oral hygiene. During their visits children can watch cartoons or nature films.
If treatment is necessary, we use surface (fruit gel) or infiltration anesthesia. We provide tooth-coloured fillings, sealing and veneering.
Children always leave our surgery with a prize.
DENTAL SURGERYDental surgery is a branch of dentistry concerned with extraction and gouging of teeth which can no longer be treated and which cause or can cause inflammation. Dental surgery helps to cure inflammation by means of incision of an abscess, gingivectomy, extraction of retained teeth as well as of wisdom teeth.
Surgery is also used in upper lip frenoplasty which helps to close a gap between medial upper incisors.
When inflammation affects the root apex, we conduct apicectomy and in this way cure the inflammatory condition. Such a procedure is aimed at saving the tooth which otherwise would have to be extracted.
We perform:
PROSTHETIC DENTISTRYAfter losing your own teeth, you shouldn't wait too long to have the loss restored. If you have one or several teeth missing, the remaining teeth are under more pressure which would otherwise be evenly distributed, and after a time they become overloaded and threatened with loosening.
Another reason of prosthetic reconstruction of a tooth crown is considerable loss of the tooth hard tissue.
Considering its seating in the oral cavity, we can distinguish permanent and removable prosthetic restoration. As far as the material used is concerned we distinguish acrylate, vinyl, metal, porcelain, gold, and titanium dentures.
We cooperate with an experienced team of technicians. Among others we offer:
IMPLANTSAn implant is titanium metal replacement for the root of the tooth placed in the jaw bone. It can be used as a support for a replacement tooth or bridge.
Implants are one way of replacing missing teeth. A post is planted in the jaw bone to support a replacement tooth. This acts like root of a natural tooth. Implants can also be bridges or dentures. Implant treatment has two stages. First, the implant is placed in the jaw. Then, when the jaw has healed, replacement teeth are attached. If you decide to go ahead, this is what will happen. Implants are put into holes in the jaw with a local or general anaesthetic. The implant is screwed in and the gum is stitched so that it heals over the implant. Then, under the gum, the bone grows round the implant to hold it firm. Implants usually have two sections - the post in the jaw and an extension that is added later when the post is secure. The replacement teeth are fixed or attached in a way which lets you remove them for cleaning.
